The Beam Engine Shaft Support adds a third bearing to hold the crankshaft hence reducing the load on the two bearings on the main engine base.

The support is steel and comes with a main bearing set (upper and lower halves) and 2 hex head screws.

The support has 2 holes for mounting on the engine base plate/board (screws not included).

The support can be added to an existing Beam engine. NOTE: Some adjustment may be required to get the optimum height of the main bearing to support the beam engine's crankshaft.
